The rediscovery of the Shang began with the discovery of oracle bones which are inscribed shell with Chinese characters. The inscriptions are about events of national significance. Natural disasters are feared and respected. The legend started from Wang Yirong’s family which bought the turtle shells to make medicine. Wang Yirong, an archaeologist, was the first to build up a collection of oracle bones. Oracle bones were found in Xiaotun. Shang fortune tellers foretold predictions about the future using oracle bones. Oracle bones can be used to check whether the event would occur. The bones were cleaned and thinned. They are applied to a hot object until the surface cracked and were presented to the king. King’s interpretation of the cracks was engraved onto the shell together with the original prediction. The oracle bones represent the first written texts, recorded accounts of Shang. Oracle bones proved the existence of historical personalities. It dispelled some misconceptions of Shang.

Reality television, dominating the tube right now, is about the real antics of real people in real environments. It shows people getting insulted or humiliated. Reality shows are clearly unreal. It is an unscripted drama and it is like sports. Reality shows are profitable thus it is cheap to produce. It is popular with the viewers because the people are voyeurs. However, it erases boundaries between public and private. Reality shows can surprise people. It has a great way in telling a story. Some of the ideas grab us in some fundamental place. Although reality shows will always have a place on television, but its prospect are low. It ruins reputation of network due to the insulting and humiliating of people. Producers will soon run out of ideas and viewers will get bored. Competitions from other forms of programming are also fierce.

"You eat here, Dad!" explained Rijwan, his son-in-law, moving the tables and chairs to the balcony. "It's nearer to your room and toilet."
Surya, his young grandson asked innocently, " Grandpa, did you wear your diapers?"
"Now you can fart as loud as you want here, granddad," added Darshini, his granddaughter, laughing loudly.

"What game are you playing?" asked RIjwan casually with a loving hand place on Surya's shoulder.
Darshini explained smilingly, shocking her mother," When I grow up, you and mum can eat here, little brother and I will eat inside."
"Dad," Surya reminded," You must remember to wear your diapers!"

Current approaches to environmentalism do not work because it flunked. Even some nations are having trouble meeting their reduction targets but they are doing better. Developing world is starting to flood the atmosphere with carbon dioxide. The job of environmentalism is to cure the worst effects. If you are rich, you can afford the catalytic converter for the end of the tailpipe. However, it turns out that endless economic growth is built on the use of cheap fossil fuels. China’s carbon emissions increased by 67 percent as they are burning more fossil fuel. Carbon dioxide is the one major environmental contaminant but no study has ever found any indication of improvement as living standards rise. Houses that we build are enormous despite the fact that the number of people in the average home continues to fall. We should consider smaller homes, closer to the centre of town, where we could use the bus, or a bike for daily transportation.

English Presonal Recount, Year 2008 Write about an occasion when you just could not stop laughing at an inapppropriate moment.

I regretted laughing out aloud at that moment. Due to my stupid acts, I lost a friend.... Our PSLE examinations were finally over! The papers were easy so I decided to have a bet with tiffany, my best friend. Our bet was to let the lower score person treat the higher score person. Although I was not hundred percent comfirm that I will win Tiffany but, its worth betting as I have confident in myself that I can do it.

Finally, the day we waited so long was here. The scores were out! Both of us were so excited and we were so tense up that we frozed together like an ice berg.

" What's your score?!" I cried excitedly, waving my result sheet high up in the air.
Tiffany respond with tears at the edge of her eyes." Bad.."

" Are you kidding me?" I exclaimed curiously, walking towards her. " Let me have a look at it."
I was shocked when I saw her results. I wondered is it my eyes are playing trick on me. Her score was so beyond my expectations. I could not believe that she score only a mark of 108 for her PSLE! I actually did better than her! I was so happy until I cannot stop laughing.
" Yes! I did better than you! You loser!" exclaimed me, proudly telling thw whole class I did better than her.
" You got to treat me!" smiling joyously. " Now let me think what I shall eat! I am sure I am going to let you go bankrupt!"
I did not realize how sad she was. I am implying my happiness into other people's sadness without realizing it.
" Can you shut your mouth up?!" shouted Tiffany, with tears all over her face.
I have never seen her so upset and angry before.

" Did I do anything wrong?" I think curiously, scratching my head.
Tiffany turned and look at me. " I need to be alone..."
" But how about the treat?" I responed with a bit of anger, thinking that she was trying to play a prank on me.
She turned and walk away without looking back. Although I was angry, but looking at my results made me think that I am a winner! On my way home, I felt my footsteps as light as feather. I showed my mother the results as soon as I reached home. I went back to my room and started calling Tiffany to ask her about the treat. My hands turned numb pressing the number hundreds times. Tiffany did not answer. Suddenly, a vibration ease my numbness. It was a message sent by Tiffany. She said she want a short break and asked me to stop calling her. Her harsh words made me angry as a bear with a sore foot. However, I took some time thinking why she said those words to me. Suddenly a blink of light appears somewhere. I am rubbing salt into her wounds! I did not even realized it. I quickly sent her a message but, hours of waiting made me frustrated.

The next week when I went school, I saw her walking aimlessly down the road. I run towards her, apologize for what I did. She totally ignored me, treating me as a transparent person. I knew at that instance that I lost a best friend due to my stupid acts. After this incident, she never talked to me again. Whenever we meet, we were just like two starngers not knowing each other. From than onwards, i never made stupid mistakes like this ever again. I would never rub salt into other people wounds anymore.

According to legend,
Coffee have been popular everywhere. In Africa coffee had evolved in extravagant proportions. It usually ranks second to petroleum in dollar value. Brazil, Colombia, Indonesia, and Ivory Coast rely on coffee as a major source of income but uncounted millions down it by the potful. Brazil grows a third of the world’s supply coffee bean and brings more leaving home than staying there. The chilling thought of a killing frost, damaged nearly half of the country’s three billion coffee trees and sent retail prices into orbit. Frost had hit southern Brazil in 1979. Brazil, suspended all shipments and uneasy importers, fearing a shortage, went on a buying spree. Prices rose. Producers and consumers agree to limit output to what the market can absorb, a standby reserve and at reasonable price. Despite yo-yo conditions and increase in living costs in the United States, coffee remains one of the least inflated prepared beverages.
